Abstract

The above Act and Regulations were proclaimed on September 13, 1978. The registration period is based on a triennium with the current registration period from November 1, 1993 to October 31, 1996. The objectives of the Act are the control and regulation of the production, marketing and sale of fertilizers in Western Australia so providing consumer protection to the purchaser of a fertilizer. It should be noted that the Fertilizers Regulations were amended to include minimum concentrations of specified ingredients for registration. Details are as follows:
