Submit Your Research
As part of the Department's Internet Presence strategy, the library team uploads research outputs to the Digital Library. The information on this page is intended for DPIRD staff.
How to publish to the Digital Library
Please submit your research via DPIRD's internal MyIS ticketing system. Please ensure you have read and understood the Digital Library Policy & Procedure available on the staff intranet.
When you submit your research via MyIS, you will be asked to clarify that you have the copyright to publish. We can also assist with checking the copyright of your publication. The Digital Library can host a variety of content types including:
- peer-reviewed journal articles
- DPIRD co-authored or jointly funded publications
- publications based on DPIRD research i.e., bulletins, factsheets, guides, annual reports, book galleries, etc.
- images, videos, conference proceedings and papers, datasets and more.
Publications must have at least one author that was employed at DPIRD (or Dept. of Fisheries/Dept. of Agriculture and Food) at the time of publication.
If you are interested in hosting conference materials, please contact us.
Why publish to the Digital Library?
- increases the visibility of DPIRD’s research profile
- a single source of truth for DPIRD's trusted research
- provides access for researchers in countries that may not get access through publisher subscriptions (if Open Access)
- URLs in the Digital Library are stable and persistent
- enables readership tracking
- detailed reports, including how many downloads each paper receives
- to meet our legal and partnership obligations for recording and sharing of research and any associated datasets
- records are indexed and discoverable through Google and Google Scholar
- enables researchers to export publication information in a wide variety of different formats and add it to other research profiles i.e., ORCID profile.
