Abstract
The inventory and analysis report evaluates small-scale reverse osmosis (RO) desalination systems installed on farms and in regional communities across the Wheatbelt, Great Southern and Goldfields–Esperance regions of Western Australia. The study examined system performance, economics, energy consumption, water recovery, farmer adoption, and operational challenges to determine whether desalination is a practical solution for improving long-term water security.
