Abstract
Evidence from a series of trials at several locations in the Western Australian cereal growing areas has supported previous findings that nitrogen fertilisers can be used to produce successive, high yielding wheat crops. There was no indication, after nine successive crops, of marked declines, or adverse trends in yields. Apart from trials at two sites on heavier soils in lower rainfall areas, use of nitrogen fertilisers was beneficial.
