Abstract
In Western Australia, average losses have been estimated at about 3 to 5 per cent per year. Although damage in many years may be so patchy as to pass unnoticed, in occasional years - typified by 1971 - late October frosts may damage large areas and cause severe loss to the individual grower. This review has been prepared to provide a background to the further study of frost damage in this State.
