Abstract
Previous Technotes and other publications in this series (Clarke and Yeates 1991a and b, Yeates and Clarke 1991, Yeates et al. 1991) have presented data from a series of field experiments, started in 1979,on various aspects of phosphorus and sulphur nutrition of pastures on deep sandy soils in south-Western Australia. The general aim of the research program was to provide improved information on which fertiliser recommendations for legume pastures in high rainfall areas could be made, particularly where it was known that existing fertiliser practices were contributing to eutrophication of waterbodies (see Kinhill Engineers 1988)
