Abstract

Of the interviewees that made comment relating to the Swan Valley Planning Committee and Act, many were negative. There was some dissatisfaction about the aims of the Act, but there was strong concern expressed as to whether the Committee was fully representative of all interests in the Valley. The horse industry was one in particular that felt it had little representation on the Committee. There was awareness of the Act being up for review in 2000 and desires were expressed to have more input.
