Abstract
Describes an attempt to compare the effectiveness of printed and broadcast media used as information channels by the Western Australian Department of Agriculture. Findings confirmed the usefulness of all media but suggested that the printed media were most used by farmers. An examination of the learning obtained from various media supported the general view that printed materials provide a better teaching medium than broadcast materials.
