Cover picture: Two of Western Australia’s most attractive banksias. The scarlet banksia (B. coccinea) occurs in the Albany and Stirling Range districts and eastwards to Hopetoun, flowering between July and October. The showy banksia (B. speciosa) grows along the coast between Hopetoun and Israelite Bay, and flowers almost throughout the year.
