Cover picture: Our cover picture this month shows Emperor mandarins growing on river flats on Mr R G Robinson’s property at Gosnells. The trees are six years old and close planted 11 feet apart in the rows and 19 feet 6 inches between rows. This planting system allows more than twice the usual number of trees to be planted to the acre. (see page 499 for Pruning of Citrus Trees)
