Abstract
Pink rot of potato is incited by the fungus Phytophthora erythroseptica Pethyb and was first recorded in Western Australia at Harvey in 1946. It is favoured by warm wet conditions, but seldom becomes a problem on any property unless potatoes are grown on the same land annually for several years.
