Cover Picture The Canning Dam, principle source of the Metropolitan water supply, was completed in 1940 and has the capacity of 20,550 million gallons. Taken after heavy rains has cause the dam to overflow, this colour photograph shows the white water forming lace-like patterns on the spillways and cascading over the rocks below. "
