Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to provide those in the fishing industry, as well as those planning to enter the industry, with a statement on the policies on boat licences, boat replacements and transfers, limited and restricted entry licences and licence splitting as they apply to the fisheries managed under the Western Australian Fisheries Act. The pearling industry, which is managed under another Act, is not included.
