Abstract
Capacity to adapt to change is a key feature for maintaining continuity in dynamic systems. Recreational fishing is no exception, and the need for building adaptive and resilient recreational fisheries was identified at the 6th World Recreational Fishing Conference (Arlinghaus et al. 2013). in developing countries, however, understanding how recreational fisheries respond to social, economic and ecological dynamics is generally hampered by lack of basic information on recreational fish activity.
