Abstract

Deep tillage of deep yellow loamy sands in Western Australia has consistently shown high crop responses. To estimate tillage costs, a good relationship was found between unit draft, tillage depth and tine spacing using an Agrowplow on a deep yellow sandy loam. Further research on crop response with tillage depth and tine spacing is required before the optimum depth and spacing will be known.
