Abstract
Kim et al. (2001a) reported a decrease in the amylose (P0.01) and total starch contents (P=0.075) of a cohort of south-Western Australian wheats after 7 months storage, suggesting that the available energy content of stored wheat might also have decreased. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between changes in the carbohydrate composition of these wheats associated with storage and their digestible energy (DE) content for weaner pigs.
