Abstract
The report reviews global and Australian best practices in agricultural desalination, with a strong emphasis on Western Australia. It evaluates desalination technologies, renewable energy integration, costs, and policy approaches to improve agricultural water security. The study concludes that desalination can play an important role in addressing freshwater scarcity, particularly where brackish groundwater resources are abundant and conventional freshwater supplies are unreliable.
