Abstract
IN view of poor market prospects at the time, and because of the pressing research needs of other crops, experimental work on sugar cane was temporarily suspended in 1959.
A complete review of sugar research to that date was subsequently undertaken. The results of this review (Lee, Chapman, and Basinski 1963) can be summarized as follows:
