Abstract

AFTER a good deal of exploratory work and research into crop production hazards, settlement of the Ord River fiats in East Kimberley is at last under way.

A reservoir is under construction and the first farm—the pilot farm—is already producing rice, safflower and linseed in commercial scale irrigation bays.
