Abstract
A Department of Agriculture Sheep and Wool Branch comparison of autumn versus spring shorn wool from wethers in a stocking rate trial at Wongan Hills Research Station has shown that autumn shearing has beneficial rather than detrimental effects on the manufacturing qualities of wool.
