Abstract
The Swan Coastal Plain extends from Lancelin to Busselton and covers an area of 1.2 million ha.
Easy access to water, plus the high temperatures and radiation levels in summer, make the area suitable for the production of irrigated crops.
CSIRO has been investigating the production of a number of irrigated summer crops at its two research stations (East and West Pinjar) on the coastal plain.
