Abstract
MILKING machine operation depends mainly on the removal of air from the machine piping and components by the vacuum pump.
When a machine is new it is free from leaks, the pump is of the correct size and driven at a speed designed to give adequate displacement of air for efficient operation.
The air requirements of different makes of machines vary considerably, and the layout and installation are important factors.
