Abstract
LAMB-MARKING is an essential feature of the fiock owner's annual programme and includes ear-marking, tail-docking and the castration of male Iambs. Because these operations result in the infliction of wounds or the destruction of tissues, they provide ideal sites for the entry and multiplication of disease germs unless precautions are taken to guard against infection.
