Abstract
IT is estimated that between 300,000 and 400,000 acres of pasture and crop infested with red-legged earthmite and lucerne flea were treated in 1956 with a Malathion-DDT mixture consisting of loz. of DDT and 1/2oz. of Malathion per acre. In the vast majority of cases the control obtained was excellent, but some concern has been felt at the number of farmers reporting unsatisfactory results against the lucerne flea.
