Abstract
The term "pastoral research" is, admittedly, a vague one, but since it has become * common to speak of "agricultural research," grouping the many studies which are designed to effect improvements in agriculture, perhaps it is reasonable to use the word "pastoral" as a group heading where research work is carried out in purely pastoral country.
