Abstract
Every pig-farmer knows that excessive coughing in pigs is associated with unthriftiness, but most do not realise that a perfectly healthy pig does not cough. Dry feed or dusty conditions do not, as is popularly supposed, cause that frequent dry cough that is all too often heard in the pig sties.
