Abstract
A review of recent research work
Over the past few years considerable publicity has been given to the use of "growth promoting" substances in the rations of livestock. As yet, comparatively little is known concerning the manner in which these substances benefit the birds or animals, but in this article I have endeavoured to indicate the results of research work which had been carried out and the lines on which current research is now operating.
