Abstract
THE Surveyor-General (Mr. W. V. Fyfe) is gravely concerned by the frequency with which survey pegs and other marks are destroyed or removed by farmers during fencing and other operations.
Survey pegs, posts, spikes and other marks are the property of the Crown and are intended to show permanently on the ground, the position of surveyed lines or points.Their removal or disturbance is illegal and penalties are provided under existing law for any interference with survey marks.
