Abstract

How many of you have ever paused to consider the large proportion of your lifetime that is spent in bed? A little reflection will soon convince you that most of us will spend at least one third of our lives in bed while many of us will exceed this by quite an appreciable percentage of our life-spans.

This is a historical article detailing advice on beds and bedding in 1953. Modern advice on beds and bedding may differ.
