Abstract
Soon after the pastoral development of the Kimberleys commenced in the "eighties" of the last century, the presence of large numbers of "Frontage Wallabies" (Macropus wallabia agilis) became a matter of serious concern to the settlers. These animals ate almost the same foods as the sheep and cattle and were capable of substantially reducing the stock-carrying capacity of a holding.
This illustrated article describes how wallabies used to be culled.
