Abstract

All the farmers are concerned about the sustainability of production and the need to hand on their farms in a productive condition. They consider that farming for profitis an integral component of sustainability, and that profit in wool enterprises is determined primarily by clean wool cut per hectare. They see the most important problems needing urgent attention as rising water-tables, decreasing soil pH and the increase in non-wetting of soils.
