Abstract
The commercial fishing of pink snapper (Pagrus auratus) in the Shark Bay region has been regulated in one form or another since the mid-1980's. In the present day, commercial fishing for pink snapper in the waters around Shark Bay is principally regulated by the Shark Bay Snapper Management Plan 1994 (which includes subsequent amendments) which is taken to have been made under, and is in force under, the Fish Resources Management Act 1994 (the Act).
